Chinese music is very diverse, and varies by region. It has been influenced by the ethnic minorities who have lived in China for thousands of years. Chinese music has also been influenced by other Asian countries, as well as western music.

The Japanese calendar is based on a twelve-year cycle called the “Chinese zodiac”. The animals that represent each year are: Rat (Mouse), Ox (Bull), Tiger (Lion), Rabbit(Hare), Dragon(Snake), Snake(Horse), Horse(Goat), Monkey(Rooster) Rooster(Dog) Dog(Pig). In addition to this there are many different types of traditional dances performed during certain times throughout history such as Bunraku puppetry performances which date back 400 years ago when they first started using puppets instead actors onstage due to budget constraints at first but later evolved into more elaborate productions involving multiple puppets controlled simultaneously by only one person through strings attached inside them – wowza!
